Full Day Custom Scenery & Wildlife Tours, Homer Alaska

Option #1.
Spend a day going wherever you like in Kachemak Bay.
Check out all the little nooks along the South side of the bay, look for whales, sea otters, seals and lots of birds including Bald Eagles. Circle Gull Island (a rookery just across the bay from Homer). Stop into Seldovia for a walking tour and a bite to eat. If you prefer, bring your own lunch and snacks or we can arrange a special lunch to accompany us. This will be a full day (up to 8 hours) and the whole day is up to you. You can tell us what you would like to see or just take our suggestions and be ready for a wonderful day visiting Kachemak Bay.

Option #2.
Take a long range tour out of Kachemak Bay, into Cook Inlet and out into the Gulf of Alaska to the Chugach Islands. This will be a full day of site seeing and take up to 10 hours to fit it all in, Along the way we’ll pass the port towns of Seldovia and Port Graham as well as the native village of Nanwalek. Along the way we will likely see lots of otters, a multitude of sea birds, sea lions, black bears along the beach, mountain goats along the hill sides and whales. Hump back and killer whales are the most common whales in our area. Once past Nanwalek you’ll be seeing a truly wild and remote area. There are only a few camps from this point all the way to Seward and the only other boats you will see will be commercial or charter fishing boats. Our ultimate destination will be the Chugach Islands. Elizabeth, Pearl and East Chugach are the three islands we’ll be visiting. The very eastern side of East Chugach Island is approximately 50 miles from Homer by water, but you’ll think you are in another world once you see the rock formations and luscious green hill sides. This tour will not disappoint.

Option #3.
If birds are what you want to see, the Barren Islands are the place for you. They are a group of islands that sit in the middle of the entrance to Cook Inlet. Very remote and uninhabited with the exception of a research station. These islands host one of the largest concentrations of Puffins in the world as well as numerous other species. This too is a long range trip and will take up to 10 hours. We’ll likely see whales as well as sea otters on this tour as well.

As with any tour, options #2 and #3 are just suggestions and can be customized to fit any requests you may have. After all, it’s your boat for the day and we want to make it a very memorable day for you.

Option #1. $225 per person with a minimum of 4 passengers.
Option #2 & #3. $300 per person with a minimum of 4 passengers.
